Speedy Advice Of Fast Foods Simplified

I used to love McDonald's, Burger King, and KFC. The food tasted great and it was cheap. But there was a problem: it made me feel weak and it left me feeling empty even though my stomach was full. I found out through research and experience that this food supplied me with little nutrition, which was the reason for the weak and empty feelings. Today while I still occasionally eat fast food, I have broken the habit.

Find healthy foods that are pleasurable to you. You may have to experiment, but when you find those foods, embrace eating them. Remember to replace that fast food addiction with food that is healthy. Your body will adapt. I can think of a few healthy replacements such as baby carrots, celery, and apples. These are especially great when you are on the move daily. I discovered that baby carrots are nice, because they are not big and bulky like the regular carrots. What healthy food replacements have you started?

And of course you want one of those Frosty's along with your Jr. Hamburger, your small fries, and your small drink. You start out with your Jr. Hamburger which is 280 calories, 2% calcium and 20% of your iron intake. Your small fries are 142 calories, 2%of your vitamin A, 10% of your vitamin C, 2% calcium, and 6% iron. Small Coke is 140 calories with no nutritional value.

In the U.S. alone, studies show that population increases by as much as 5,000 per day while the land correspondingly decreases by 15,000 acres.Based on agricultural reports, about 24 billion tons of topsoil are lost yearly due to farming methods that make use of harmful pesticides. Liberal irrigation on the other hand has caused the depletion of natural resources of ground water that supplies fresh water to wells and springs. Too much water is being drawn off the ground causing the water table to go down at an uncomfortable level. Other sources of water cannot be relied upon because it has been contaminated by agricultural run-offs that contain pesticides.

When someone is sitting in a fast food restaurant do they really know what is going in to their bodies. Countless calories and grams of fat but not much vitamins and minerals. But what if people were more educated and while they were eating they were able to see how many calories there were. It really can help. Imagine yourself sitting in a restaurant and you are just eating. You see the nutrition facts and realize what you are eating. This could cause you to stop eating and think that this could be really bad for your health. This is exactly what has happened in my life. I went to the McDonald's in our neighborhood and was enjoying a burger then I saw how many calories I was eating. It caused me to not want fast food as much any more. After that experience of realizing what I was eating I watched the Movie "Super Size Me". The movie showed how harmful the food was and after that I haven't had anything at a fast food restaurant since except an occasional ice cream cone.

Fast food has been around a long time. All through history people have needed to get food fast and keep their busy schedules going. This was idea of on the go food took off once automobiles were more accessible to the middle class. White Castle was the first burger fast food place, which was opened in 1921 by Billy Ingram and Walter Anderson. Every fast food place has slowly grown from there.

High GI foods cause inflammation, because when we eat them, we get a quick spike in our blood sugar.  Our body responds to this by releasing insulin to control blood sugar levels, but if this happens too frequently, inflammation will result.\
